Hi everyone,
The photo accompanying today’s poem is a close up of an owl butterfly, taken while exploring the American Museum of Natural History’s new wing. I was delighted to learn that the butterflies will now be there year-round as a permanent exhibition. If you are in or visiting NYC, it’s well worth a visit.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend,
Rachel

welcome back
I don’t recognize
you - why the energy
of a night club
twenty years ago?
whiplash from loss
to libido,
from midlife
to teen
and desire
wraps around
my index finger,
my old friend
young again.
